pay attention to the way your
arms ache, your eyes twitch
the leg goes numb,
your back itch
pay attention to how
your stomach hurts
and you recoil in the presence
of some things and some people
even if on the surface they or
it seem alright, nice even
pay attention to how your
internal alarms get louder
with every lie and how
you try to turn it off to
your own peril
Pay attention to your body
it's the best voice you
have and every time
you ignore it, you do so
to your harm.
Promise yourself:
"I'm not doing anything that makes my stomach hurt."
